Beauty of Emptiness

This fine art painting is my interpretation of the Japanese concept of "Ma" or "Yohaku no bi ". The concept is basically leaving open space for the mind to roam free. I used the the general structure of a butterfly to convey this concept in a self refection portrait. The butterfly represents me as a layered complex form that is one with nature. The butterfly is actually formless only a hint of its form is seen and the mind makes connections. The void of open space sphere represents the open mind needed for this balance to exist. The AI images where fun to play with placing the artwork in different enviroments.
