This below was my original draft for my gofundme.com campaign.

When I was in elementary school I had a vision that guided my path the rest of my life. I do not recall the details of the vision other then I was suppose to do something to benefit all of mankind and I began to have a passion for the creative arts that is still growing today. I have a few things that i created from elementary school that have driven me my whole life. In one of my drawings I question if the world is round drawing a curved earth with giant building along the curve of the earth. The second is a contest poster for pollution were I have an image of the earth from space exploding with a caption in the explosion cloud that reads “Soon Nature won’t be the only thing dying from pollution.” I recall this stuck out from the rest of the elementary kids and this was my idea not parents helping out. I went thru middle school and high school in love with art classes and always I would draw every chance I could.

I went on to go to a college in Manhattan known for Arts and took advertising and design as a major recommended to me by my h.s. teacher and commuted first year into the city. The second year I lived at dorms at the school and loved the personality of the two fine art students next to my dorm room which lead me to want to do the fine arts like them. I began to lose focus on my classes and focused more on learning everything I could about the fine arts. I began looking at art posters other students had in there rooms and started seeing a pattern between the kind of art the students liked and the way in which they thought. I began my assimilation of the fine arts by first studying The artist that inspired my fellow classmates the most. I eventually after school would study everything related to creativity beyond the fine arts thru out all of history. I then went on with same process but to better understand the patron of the arts as well as the general public. I was a class or two short from graduating from college but that didn’t matter to me because I understood the power of advertising and design combined with a complete understanding of the fine arts I would acquire after school. I at this point was starting to think back to my vision and starting to feel like I could make a difference in the world.

I have always felt my life was meant to be helpful to others and not financial driven. I began a plan of making art that could hang in a any museum worldwide and be compared to the greatest masters of all time. I was sure I would make a lot of money and then use that money to make a difference in our world but i was wrong because art sales are not based on talent or depth of the artist which I learned the hard way. Even if I did succeeded to get sell my work at this time I still didn’t have an idea what I would do to make a difference that could help all of humanity. Now lets fast forward to the last sixteen years.

I moved to Florida now working jobs that meant nothing to me because my drive to be part of the solution fills my every thought. After a few moves and a lot of jobs I found a company that accepted my colorful personality and bought a house and was slowly doing my passion while keeping my day job. This went on for a couple of years and at this time I determined I wanted to focus on helping misunderstood troubled young people. Majority of people I met did not feel anyone could make a difference in the world which lead me to having a lonely life dedicated to working on a solution to that problem. For a change of pace I started visiting my uncle who also moved to Florida and he recommended I try online dating. The online dating worked and I was with an amazing women for over 10 years. This relationship would change my life and give me my main purpose for living. I refinanced my house and used the money to reset my life and went back to college to make more money then I was making to provide us and her daughter a wonderful life. At this point I gave into everyone telling me that I couldn’t change the world and was going to settle for a family life. This time while in college I was determined to get straight A’s and worked extremely hard at my classes and did get all A’s and 1 B and graduated with a 3.98 gpa in Interactive media. With my newly acquired skill-set I got a job working for Idearc Media which is Superpages.com building websites from scratch working closely with the clients. My new skill-set combined with my previous skills easily had me winning site of the month awards but my skills didn’t stop them from letting me go because of excessive lateness caused by my 2 hour commute. The day they let me go, I was late because a truck transporting telephone poles tipped over and blocked the whole road, nice right. Finding a job in this field after being fired by a major corporation did not go well. Still having money from refinancing my house I began building my own business but ran out of money and time to get my business going and with the suggestion of my girlfriend I became a substitute teacher to attempt to make ends meet.

The old saying “everything happens for a reason” was never more apparent to me then when I was on the other side of the coin within the education system. I worked all kinds of classes and grade levels for the total experience for maximum learning and understanding of what exactly the current education system is. As a substitute teacher i could work many schools and even do custodial work which i did for three months straight at one school. One school i frequented a lot asked me to take a position for a teacher that vacated a position which was actually related to my most recent college degree. So I became a comm tech teacher half way thru the year and got to setup my own class from seating to room decor. When I took over the class the students were not doing activities related to the course outline they signed up for when they decided to take the class. I took computers out of storage, and got them up and running and in a week had students finally doing assignments related to the course they signed up. I myself am a lifelong learner and becoming a teacher and having my own classes to teach gave me the final insight of the current school system and what i wanted to do with the skills I have attained throughout my life.

In most business endeavors a creative mind and a logical mind are needed to put together a complete business presence. I would like to raise enough money to hire a few people to take on the task of creating the first global education system, but if this doesn’t receive an overwhelming support from educators worldwide or the public, I could take on the project myself. Depending on the responses to this campaign:
With a small response we could build a database of useful materials for teachers and students to access worldwide.
With a large response we could integrate the entire education system worldwide and be the bridge between educators and students worldwide.
The complexity and size of this project is in the hands of those capable of donating to make this possible, Imagine companies like Nike donating One million each.
Many schools are phasing out creative classes and we could help them keep those classes alive, again its up to the donators to make this possible.

“How soon you need the funds” is an interesting question gofundme poses to people creating these campaigns. The world needed a united education system 100 years ago, but now its possible with modern technology. Imagine students from 5 countries in a virtual class working together on a project using translation technology for instant communication removing language barriers and learning about each other and doing assignments.
